What is a good vanilla extract substitute?

    There is one my mother used to use, (although she had the vanilla in the house) Maple Syrup, not the crap that is actually corn syrup, the real stuff. If you don’t have that, leave out the vanilla

    There isn’t a good substitute for vanilla extract. Go buy or borrow some. Failing that, you’d be better off just leaving it out.

    Maybe a little strong brewed coffee or instant coffee powder.

    Coffee&’ Espresso really brinq out the flavor in chocolate .
    &’ Baileys irish cream tastes amazinq in coffee .
    So use coffee or espresso

    Understand that as soon as you change the recipe, you are not making that recipe. You are making something else instead. Hope it’s a good "something else", because there’s no guarantee.
